Dear Highland Park Middle School Community,
I am pleased to share with you that I have selected a new leader for Highland Park Middle School. It is someone you are quite familiar with. Please join me in welcoming Hibaq Mohamed as your school’s principal beginning in the 2024-25 school year. Principal Mohamed has spent the last four years as assistant principal at HPMS and I am excited to see her excel in this new opportunity.
Principal Mohamed has 17 years of education experience in the Twin Cities, including SPPS and Minneapolis Public Schools. She has played an important role within SPPS, mentoring and supporting new assistant principals. She also serves as adjunct and community faculty at Metropolitan State University.
Principal Mohamed looks forward to continuing to partner with families, students, staff and the community to continue the great work at Highland Park Middle School.
