Boesel, Gregory
Mr. Greg Boesel
Hello! I am honored to be teaching science in my hometown of Saint Paul, MN as a second-generation Saint Paul teacher following in my father's footsteps (the original Mr. Boesel taught 3rd grade for over 30 years in the east side's old Parkway Elementary). I love turning kids on to the exciting and engaging world of science exploration! I strive to bring out the scientist in all of my students. 2024 marks my 18th year with Highland Park Middle School and it no doubt will be another great one! My first 6 years at HPMS I taught 7th grade life science, then transitioned to 6th grade physical science for the next 9 years, and for the last 2 years taught 6th grade Earth Science. I will try to make science as engaging for my new 6th grade scientists as humanly possible. We will have fun exploring light, matter, weather, thermal energy, space, the rock cycle, and natural hazards. I bring a wide variety of interests to the classroom ranging from camping and hiking to playing and teaching guitar. After the school day and on weekends I love spending time with my wife, three sons, and our dog, Stanley.
As far as my classroom expectations go, I expect each and every one of my students to always try their best. That goes for being on time, prepared, treating others with respect (as well as our classroom materials), and putting forth their best effort on our assessments.
Here's to another great year of learning and growing for all of us!
