Overview

Hello! My name is Hannah Filipiak. I am the 8th grade MLL teacher. This means I teach students who speak more than one language. They are brilliant! I have been teaching for 6 years, including a year in South Africa. I have my masters in ESL teaching and am licensed to teach K-12 grade.

In my class, which is called English Language Development (ELD), we will be practing our English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. We will do this through vocabulary work, as well as support for your student's English (ELA) class. 

Outside of school, I enjoy hiking with my dog, competing in powerlifting, reading and traveling when my partner and I get the chance.
