Nelson, Nancy

Hello! I’m Nancy Nelson and I started teaching at HPMS in 1997. Over the years, I’ve taught French, Service Learning, and Global Studies. In 2022, I had the amazing opportunity to transition to teaching sixth grade, and discovered that I truly love sixth graders! They are fresh, energetic, and excited to learn. I currently teach Minnesota Studies and LGBTQ+ Studies.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, our son, and our dog, Sonic. As a family, we love to travel, and are especially passionate about camping and hiking on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We also enjoy discovering new cities, and had so much fun on recent trips to Montreal, Quebec City, and Chicago!
