Rachel Whitney
Hello! I am a math teacher here at Highland Park Middle School. I first joined the staff at Highland in 2014, but prior to that I taught various levels of middle school math and English for seven years in Maplewood. My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education with a middle school math endorsement from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I also have a M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary's.
When I'm not busy teaching, I love spending time with my family, which includes my son, Josh, daughter, Riley, and son, Gavin. I also enjoy reading, working out, painting, running and playing/coaching volleyball.
This year I will be teaching Math 6 and Pre-Algebra. All daily assignments and information can be found on Schoology.
