6th Grade Eagles

Welcome to the Eagles Team! Students on this interdisciplinary team share the same four teachers for the core classes of math, history, English and science.

The benefits of being on a team include:

• A sense of belonging: When students transition to junior high, they adapt to a larger school, more teachers, new expectations, and a complex schedule. Being on a team gives them a “home base,” a common group of teachers and students.
• Clear expectations: Students get consistent guidelines concerning behavior, homework, etc., from the teachers. These are based off of the school wide expectations.
• Tracking of student progress: Because all four teachers have the same students, the teachers are able to get a larger view of each student’s abilities and progress.
